DESSA 2 Educator Quick Start Guide

Overview

This DESSA x Move This World Implementation Checklist guides Educators through the full implementation process—from learning about the DESSA x Move This World system to completing accurate student ratings, reviewing results, and using data to support student growth. Follow the steps in order to become familiar with the platform, implement Move This World lessons when included in your program's plan, prepare for and complete DESSA ratings, interpret student results, and select DESSA-aligned strategies and interventions based on identified needs.

• Step 1: Understand the DESSA Implementation.

• Step 2: Navigate the DESSA and Move This World System

• Step 3: If Move This World is part of your program's implementation, access the content under the Curriculum tab. View the Move This World training videos before you begin. It’s recommended to facilitate the program 2-3 times per week – just press “play” and engage with your students!

• Step 4: Prepare to complete DESSA ratings by reviewing the list of Example Behaviors for DESSA items.

• Step 3: Complete DESSA Ratings

• Step 4: Understand DESSA Scores

• Step 5: Access and Analyze DESSA Data

• Step 7: Use the Data-Driven Recommendations to implement Strategies and Intervention resources based on your collected results.
