Roster Integration using the OneRoster file format

Overview

This article contains guidance on setting up an SIS integration using the OneRoster file format. 

 

OneRoster Directions

The DESSA System supports rostering via OneRoster v1.1. OneRoster files are often created by an organization directly from their Student Information System (SIS) if they are already set up to export to this format. Once the file is set up, data is sent by Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP).

The DESSA System requires the following files from the standard OneRoster file package:

  1. Users.csv
  2. Orgs.csv
  3. Enrollments.csv
  4. Classes.csv
  5. Demographics.csv
  6. Courses.csv

Before delivering your OneRoster file package, please ensure that:

  • The correct student population is included. For example, if only students in grades K-5 are being rated in the DESSA System, please do not include students in grades 6-12.
  • Leading zeroes have been removed from student ID numbers.
