DESSA Student Self Report Portal: Reset Passwords
Overview
This article provides the steps to reset student passwords for the DESSA Student Portal for students who do not have Single Sign On (SSO) access.
Reset Your Password for Students
To reset your password as a student, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to the DESSA Student Login Page.
2. Select "Reset Password."

3. Enter your Username, the Reset Code (provided by your teacher) and a new password.
4. Click "Submit" to save your new password. Use this new password when logging in to the DESSA Student Portal.
📌 Note: The Reset Code is found within the DESSA x Move This World System. See the "Teacher-led Reset" section below.

Teacher-led Student Password Reset
For a Teacher to assist students who have forgotten their passwords, follow these steps:
1. Login to the DESSA x Move This World System.
2. Select the gear icon in the top-right corner.
- Unable to Locate the Gear Icon? On smaller screens or at certain zoom levels, the gear icon may not appear in the upper-right corner of the application. To access Settings, click the hamburger menu (☰) in the upper-left corner and select Settings from the menu.
3. Navigate to the gear icon and select "Settings"
4. Select "Student Self-Report," then select "Reset Passwords" in the top right-hand corner.

5. A window will pop up with instructions to assist students with their reset. Students can scan the QR code directly from the screen to go directly to the Reset Password page in the Student Portal or go to the DESSA Student Login Page (https://student.apertureed.com/login).
- When on the student login page, students should select "Reset Password" (see instructions in Reset Your Password for Students section above) and then enter their Username and Reset Code on the screen to proceed with a new password entry.

❗Be sure to keep the window open until the resets have occurred as the code expires within 30 minutes, or as soon as the user selects Finished Resetting Passwords.
