Overview
Although the system provides the ability for multiple educators to rate students, we encourage the educator who spends the most time with the student to be the one to submit the ratings. The scores from each rater are visible to just the rater and Site Leader.
To assign multiple educators access to rate a student
- Ensure that the educator first is a user in the DESSA System.
- From the Admin screen (gear icon | Admin), select Assignment Review, click on a student's name, then search for and assign any raters to be assigned to this student. (See Image 1)

If you need to assign a larger group of students to an additional rater, please use the Batch Assignment feature
To Use the Batch Assignment feature
- Click on Assignment Review on the left navigation
- Click on the three dots (...) for More Actions and select Batch Assignments (click this link to access a PDF you can save locally for quick reference)
- Select the Rater who you would like to assign the students to by searching for their name Copy / Paste or type in the Student IDs that you would like to assign to the educator. (See Image 2)
- Select either the 'Add and Close' or 'Add and Assign More' to complete.
- Repeat the process for each additional Rater.

Note: This process does NOT unassign any previously assigned students to this educator. Also, for SIS clients, assignments made with this feature survive nightly uploads.
