DESSA Second Step Assessments

Overview

This article provides information on the forms for each of the DESSA Second Step Assessments. The forms are paper versions of the online rating forms that are typically completed by educators in the DESSA System.

📌 Note: These forms (which are no longer available on our support portal site) are meant to be used for completing ratings and should not be used for information purposes such as posting them on district websites or sharing them in parent letters. If you need to share out the DESSA assessment forms for informational purposes, please use the watermarked forms found in the “DESSA Forms for Parents” article.

Appropriate raters for each DESSA Second Step Assessment include:

  • DESSA-Second Step Edition (DESSA-SSE): Educators and Parents/Guardians
  • DESSA-Second Step Elementary School Edition (DESSA-SSESE): Educators
  • DESSA-Second Step Middle School Edition (DESSA-SSMSE): Educators
  • DESSA-Second Step Middle School Edition Student Self-Report (DESSA-SSMSE SSR): Students in Grades 6-8
