Move This World: Key Program Terms
Overview
Move This World uses a few recurring terms throughout the curriculum. Understanding these will help you navigate lessons and plan classroom activities.
Teacher Show & Student Show
Days that revisit previously covered content, giving your classroom a choice of activities. On a “Teacher Show” day, the teacher selects the activity; on a “Student Show” day, students choose.
Practice Your Path (5th-12th grade)
A choose-your-own-adventure style lesson format used in 5th–12th grade courses. Rather than a standard curriculum video, these lessons introduce a topic and let your class choose how to explore it — through writing, drawing, discussion, or movement.
Emotion Motion
Move This World's podcast, which uses storytelling to engage children, families, and teachers in movement and creative expression. Clips from Emotion Motion episodes appear within the Emotion Motion tab in PreK–2nd grade courses.
📌Note: These terms may appear in lesson titles, Facilitation Guides, or platform navigation, so it's helpful to review them before beginning your course.
