Overview
Instructional materials are available in the Aperture System to help educators support students' social and emotional learning skills. The instructional materials are divided into two categories, Growth Strategies and Foundational Practices.
Growth Strategies
Growth Strategies (Image 1) are DESSA-aligned lessons that correspond to each social and emotional competency. Data from the DESSA should be used to inform the implementation of Growth Strategies. Growth Strategies are available for Primary (K-2nd), Intermediate (3rd-5th), Middle School (6th-8th), and Secondary (9th-12th).

Foundational Practices
Foundational Practices (Image 2) are universal (whole group) lessons that integrate the eight SEL competencies together. Assessment data is not necessary when implementing Foundational Practices.
