If students receive a score within a specified range, you may prompt raters to submit another rating. For example, for students whose composite T-score is less than or equal to 40 on a specific assignment within a specific rating period, the system can automatically prompt a user to complete a full DESSA on that particular student.
Configuring Conditional AssessmentsTo configure the DESSA System to prompt users to complete a follow-up assessment, navigate to the Admin menu, then choose Yearly Setup.
Once in Yearly Setup, press Continue to move past the How many times would you like all students to be assessed this school year? and When do you want your rating windows to begin? screens, stopping on the Assessments screen.
To automatically assign a conditional assessment based on the results of a screening assessment, select the checkbox labeled Conditional assignment of a full assessment based on a T-score less than or equal to ___. By default, this option is selected and the T-score threshold is set to 40. You may adjust this threshold by entering a different value in the box. Click Continue to save your changes.
