Conditional Assignment & T-Score

Overview

If students receive a score within a specified range, you may prompt raters to submit another rating. For example, for students whose composite T-score is less than or equal to 40 on a specific assignment within a specific rating period, the system can automatically prompt a user to complete a full DESSA on that particular student.

Configuring Conditional Assessments

To configure the DESSA System to prompt users to complete a follow-up assessment, navigate to the Admin menu, then choose Yearly Setup (Image 1).

To automatically assign a separate assessment based on the results of a screening assessment, check the checkbox labeled Conditional assignment of a full assessment based on a T-Score less than or equal to. The T-Score default to trigger a conditional assessment is 40, but this can be changed by entering a different number in the box. Press Continue to save any changes.
